The Grand Bazaar

 
    The Grand Bazaar is the central feature in the Marketplace district in Anchorhead. The center of the area consists of a giant stonework pavilion supported on huge pillars where the most exclusive shops set up their stalls to market their wares. The Bazaar area extends well outside the pavilion and into the surrounding side streets and alleyways, taking up the majority of the space in the district. The larger merchants with permanent residency in Anchorhead have storefronts in the surrounding buildings around the pavilion area, and the district is often bustling with foot traffic from shoppers and sellers from just after dawn until well after dusk.

    Merchants in the Grand Bazaar market every type of product and ware imaginable, with one exception. Livestock is handled at the Stockyards. While most artisan keep their workshop in Artisans’ Row, many also keep a small storefront in the Grand Bazaar for selling their creations. Also, the smithing guild, being the largest and most powerful in Anchorhead. maintains a mall-style building named Black Iron, where their guild members can rent a storefront at a reduced prices.
